Jen Jacobs is a practicing artist with a bachelor's degree from Binghamton University and a master's degree in Art Education from New York University. She specializes in painting and mixed-media. 

 

Additionally, Jen has a dedicated art series that reflects her life with type 1 diabetes. She was diagnosed with the condition at age 12 and felt a need to express it in her artwork. She views her 'diabetes artwork' as a visual narrative, a creative space for those in the diabetes community, and also as a tool for education/advocacy.

Finally, Jen has 15 years of experience teaching art in both public schools and private settings. She lives in the New York metro area with her husband and two daughters.
